    Protection of data privacy: Your right – our obligation

    The protection of personal data is an important concern for us. Therefore, we process your data in accordance with the provisions of the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable legislation on the protection of personal data and data security.

    The following information applies to our Internet presence (hereinafter referred to only as "website"). It provides you with an overview of what personal data we collect from you via our website, as well as for what purposes and in what way we use it. In addition, we inform you about the rights you have in relation to your personal data.

    3. PROCESSING OF YOUR DATA

    As a matter of principle, we process personal data when this is necessary for the provision of a functioning service or offer on our website. Any further personal processing will only take place with your consent. In the following, we will inform you which of our offers, functions or services that you will find on our pages require processing and which we only offer you on the basis of your consent.

     

    4 LEGAL BASIS AND PURPOSES OF PROCESSING

    4.1 Logging in and using the Website
    Each time you call up our website, our system automatically collects data and information from the computer system of your computer in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. When you call up a website, your IP address is anonymized by our website provider. The recorded data includes:

    • the type and version of browser used
    • the operating system
    • the date and time of the server request
    • status and error codes with execution time
    • website from which the request came ("bounce page")
    • IP address (anonymized before recording)
    • URL/address of the elements to be loadeds
    • Type of request (GET or POST)

    This data is partly transmitted to us automatically due to the setting of your terminal device. They are partly necessary to display our website correctly and to design it securely, as well as to detect and correct possible technical problems (§ 25 para. 2 no. 2 TTDSG). Insofar as we use this data to make our website more usable and attractive, we assert legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. f) DSGVO.

    Your server log data will be deleted after two months at the latest. Since the collection of data for the provision of the website and the storage of data in log files is mandatory for the operation of the website, you do not have the option to object. Your data will be passed on to our hosting service provider.

    4.2 Information provided by you
    If you use our general contact form, we will receive your message at info@steag.com. We process the data you provide for the purpose you specify based on your consent (legal basis Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. a) DSGVO). We store information that you provide to us via contact form. The information provided is used for the specific purpose of processing your request. Your data will be deleted after the processing of your request has been completed. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future, details can be found in chapter 6 "Your rights".

    If you request information material via specific contact forms on our website, we process the data you provide via hubspot. Please refer to chapter 4.3.3.

    4.3 Cookies
    We also use additional cookies in some areas of our website. Cookies are small data elements that a web server can send to your computer. They store information about your visit to our site.

    Our website uses different types of cookies. Some cookies ensure the correct functioning of the website (necessary cookies). Others increase your comfort when visiting the website, for example, so that you do not have to enter settings again when you visit our website again. And some tell us about your user behavior on our website so that we can improve the performance of our website.

    By law, we may store cookies on your device if they are strictly necessary for the operation of our website. We present all other cookies below and elaborate on the purpose and legal basis of their use (legitimate interest or your consent). Some cookies are placed by third parties that appear on our pages, we also point this out separately below.

    4.3.1 Google Analytics
    Soweit Sie Ihre Einwilligung (Art. 6 Abs. 1 S. 1 lit. a) DSGVO) erklärt haben, wird auf dieser Website Google Analytics eingesetzt, ein Webanalysedienst der Google LLC. Zuständiger Dienstanbieter in der EU ist die Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Irland („Google“).

    Umfang der Verarbeitung
    Google Analytics verwendet Cookies, die eine Analyse der Benutzung unserer Webseiten durch Sie ermöglichen. Die mittels der Cookies erhobenen Informationen über Ihre Benutzung dieser Website werden in der Regel an einen Server von Google in den USA übertragen und dort gespeichert.

    Die Nutzung umfasst die Betriebsart Universal Analytics: Durch diese ist es möglich, Daten, Sitzungen und Interaktionen über mehrere Geräte hinweg einer pseudonymen User-ID zuzuordnen und dadurch die Aktivitäten eines Nutzers geräteübergreifend zu analysieren.

    Wir nutzen die Funktion ‘anonymizeIP’ (sog. IP-Masking): Aufgrund der Aktivierung der IP-Anonymisierung auf dieser Webseite wird Ihre IP-Adresse von Google innerhalb von Mitgliedstaaten der Europäischen Union oder in anderen Vertragsstaaten des Abkommens über den Europäischen Wirtschaftsraum gekürzt. Die im Rahmen von Google Analytics von Ihrem Browser übermittelte IP-Adresse wird nach Aussage von Google nicht mit anderen Daten von Google zusammengeführt.

    Während Ihres Website-Besuchs werden durch Google Analytics u.a. folgende Daten erfasst:

    • Ihr ungefährer Standort (Stadt in Land X)
    • Ihre IP-Adresse (in gekürzter Form)
    • technische Informationen zu Ihrem Browser und den von Ihnen genutzten Endgeräten (z.B. Spracheinstellung, Bildschirmauflösung)
    • Ihr Internetanbieter
    • Website, von der die Anforderung kommt („Absprungseite“)

    Zwecke der Verarbeitung
    Im Auftrag des Betreibers dieser Website wird Google diese Informationen benutzen, um Ihre Nutzung der Website auszuwerten und um Reports über die Website-Aktivitäten zusammenzustellen. Die durch Google Analytics bereitgestellten Reports dienen der Analyse der Leistung unserer Applikation und des Erfolgs unserer Marketing-Kampagnen.

    Empfänger
    Empfänger der Daten ist Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Irland als Auftragsverarbeiter. Hierfür haben wir mit Google einen Auftragsverarbeitungsvertrag abgeschlossen. Google hat uns bestätigt, dass sie Ihre Daten im europäischen Wirtschaftsraum verarbeiten. Wir können nicht ausschließen, dass die Google LLC mit Sitz in Kalifornien, USA, und ggf. US-amerikanische Behörden auf die bei Google gespeicherten Daten zugreifen können. Lesen Sie hierzu auch unseren Risiko-Hinweis zur Kapitel 5 „Empfänger Ihrer Daten“.

    Speicherdauer
    Die Daten werden nach 14 Monaten automatisch gelöscht. Die Löschung von Daten, deren Aufbewahrungsdauer erreicht ist, erfolgt automatisch einmal im Monat.

    Rechtsgrundlage und Widerrufsmöglichkeit
    Für diese Datenverarbeitung ist Ihre Einwilligung, Art. 6 Abs.1 S.1 lit. a) DSGVO, Voraussetzung. Sie können Ihre Einwilligung jederzeit mit Wirkung für die Zukunft widerrufen. Folgen Sie dazu dem unter Kapitel 4.3 „Cookies“ angegebenen Link.

    4.3.2 SalesViewer®-Technologie
    Wir verwenden SalesViewer® zur Verbesserung unserer Website.

    Umfang der Verarbeitung
    Im Rahmen des SalesViewer® wird ein javascripl-basierter Trackingcode auf unserer Website eingesetzt, mit dessen Hilfe im Rahmen des hier näher beschriebenen Prozesses (https://www.salesviewer.com/de/datenschutz) folgende Informationen (nachfolgend Unternehmensdaten) ermittelt werden:

    • Name, Herkunft und Branche des besuchenden Unternehmens
    • Website, von der die Anforderung kommt („Absprungseite“)
    • Keyword auf der Absprungseite
    • Besucherverhalten (z.B. besuchte (Unter-)seiten, Besuchszeitpunkt, Besuchsdauer)

    Zwecke der Verarbeitung
    Wir verwenden die ermittelten Daten zu Marketing-, Marktforschungs- und Optimierungszwecken. Dabei werden also ausschließlich Unternehmensinformationen erhoben und verarbeitet.

    Empfänger
    SalesViewer ® nutzt als Unterauftragnehmer die Hetzer Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710, Gunzenhausen für Server-Hosting (Infrastruktur SalesViewer®) und die Host Europe GmbH, Welserstraße 14, 51149 Köln Bereitstellung der DNS-Server für SalesViewer®. Wir haben mit SalesViewer® einen Auftragsverarbeitungsvertrag geschlossen.

    Speicherdauer
    Die Anwendung erhebt keine personenbezogenen Nutzerdaten.

    Rechtsgrundlage und Widerrufsmöglichkeit
    Mit der -Technologie der SalesViewer® GmbH sammeln und speichern wir auf der Grundlage berechtigter Interessen (Art. 6 Abs.1 S. 1 lit. f) DSGVO) Daten zu Marketing-, Marktforschungs- und Optimierungszwecken.

    Der Datenerhebung und -speicherung kann jederzeit mit Wirkung für die Zukunft widersprochen werden, indem Sie diesen Link www.salesviewer.com/opt-out anklicken, um die Erfassung durch SalesViewer® innerhalb dieser Webseite zukünftig zu verhindern.     4.3.3 soziale Netzwerke und Medien

    YouTube embeds
    Weiter setzen wir für Videos, die Sie auf unserer Website finden, sog. Einbettungen oder Embeds der Plattform Youtube ein. Youtube ist ein Dienst der Google Ireland Limited Gordon House, Barrow Street Dublin 4 Irland. Die Einbettung erfolgt durch das technische Verfahren des sogenannten Framings. Beim Framing wird durch das bloße Einfügen eines von Youtube bereitgestellten HTML-Links in den Code einer Website ein Wiedergaberahmen (Englisch: frame) auf unserer Website (sog. Drittpräsenz) erzeugt und so ein Abspielen des auf Youtube-Servern gespeicherten Videos ermöglicht. Wir setzen die von Youtube erzeugten Framing-Codes im sogenannten „erweiterten Datenschutzmodus“ ein. Gemäß den Angaben von Youtube werden Nutzungsdaten erst dann übertragen, wenn der Nutzer auf den play-button klickt und das Video startet. Wenn Sie unsere Seiten besuchen, ohne das Videoangebot zu nutzen, werden keine Daten an Youtobe übertragen Wir bieten Videos in unserem berechtigten Interesse an, Ihnen lebendige Einblicke in unser Unternehmen zu ermöglichen und unsere Produkte zu erklären (Art. 6 Abs. 1 S. 1 lit. f) DSGVO).

    Angaben darüber, welche Daten durch YouTube verarbeitet und zu welchen Zwecken diese Daten genutzt werden, finden Sie in der Datenschutzrichtlinie von YouTube.

     

    4.3.4 unsere Website
    Wir setzen zur Bereitstellung der Website IT- und Support-Dienstleister ein. Diese Dienstleister werden von uns sorgfältig ausgewählt und sind für uns als Auftragsverarbeiter tätig. Unser hosting-Anbieter ist Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen.

    5. RECIPIENTS OF YOUR DATA / TRANSFER TO THIRD COUNTRIES

    The processing of your personal data generally takes place in a member state of the European Union or in another state party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. A transfer of personal data to a third country or access to such data from a third country will only take place if the specific requirements of Art. 44 et seq. DSGVO are fulfilled (e.g. by agreeing on standard contractual clauses or if the recipient acts on the basis of a legal basis which the European Commission has decided pursuant to Art. 45 (1) DSGVO (so-called adequacy decision)). For more details, please refer to the individual providers mentioned in Chapter 4.

    Note: Data transfer to the USA
    Note: Transfer of data to the USA With regard to the use of analytics cookies and third-party cookies (such as Google or YouTube), data transfer to the USA cannot be ruled out. On July 10, 2023, the EU Commission decided that the transfer of personal data to the USA can be carried out in compliance with data protection regulations, provided that the US companies used have appropriate certification. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Privacy Framework. You can find a complete overview of all certified organizations here. As not all US companies have this certification and US security authorities have extensive access powers to monitor "foreign communications", we expressly point out that data protection-compliant use cannot be guaranteed. Please bear this in mind when you give us your consent to set these cookies.
     

     

    6. YOUR RIGHTS

    You have a right of access, which means you can ask us to disclose all the personal information we have collected and hold for time (Art. 15 DSGVO). In addition, you may also request rectification (Art. 16 DSGVO) or erasure (Art. 17 DSGVO) or restriction of processing (Art. 18 DSGVO) and have a right of appeal to a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 DSGVO in conjunction with Section 19 BDSG).

    If we process your personal data on the basis of your consent, you can revoke this consent at any time with effect for the future. The revocation of consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent until the revocation, but the processing for the future ceases.

    We take your inquiries and concerns very seriously and always endeavor to comply with them.

    Furthermore, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority in accordance with Article 77 DSGVO in conjunction with Section 19 BDSG.
