International Competency Seminar 2018
With 90 participants and 15 speakers, our seminar was fully booked to the last seat.
Exciting lectures from TÜV Süd, RWE AG, EnBW AG, and Westinghouse Electric Germany GmbH were complemented this year by international lectures by the Babcock International Group, UK, ITER Organisation, UK and, Atkins Global, UK.
The range of topics was therefore wider than ever, ranging from the use of mobile air filtering systems in nuclear power plants to emission monitoring of airborne radioactive particles up to an overview of the UK nuclear submarine dismantling programme.
Moreover, topics such as the decommissioning of the research reactor FRG-1 and the dismantling of the research reactor facility and hot laboratory, as well as the dismantling of the reactor containment of the nuclear-powered ship Otto Hahn and FAIR - the universe in the laboratory, a mega-project for the construction industry and suppliers of technical building services in the Rhine-Main area, likewise offered the opportunity for lively exchange.
The two seminar days were rounded off by a guided tour through our in-house R&D facility and a corresponding live demonstration of our recleanable filter systems.
The event successfully concluded with our "Hüttenzauber", which pampered our guests with a pre-Christmas buffet, waffles and mulled wine.
All around a complete success!
