7th Workshop on Thermal Exhaust Air Purification

On 23 and 24 November, the 7th workshop on thermal exhaust air purification took place in Aachen under strict Corona protection measures.

The first day was dedicated to thermal exhaust air purification, first in theory and then live during an excursion, where the possibilities and limits were intensively explored. The most innovative form of thermal exhaust air purification using gas turbine technology received special attention.

The evening event at the Energeticon in Alsdorf covered a wide range of topics from hard coal to renewable energy production. This topic also marked the beginning of the second day of the workshop. Important topics related to thermal exhaust air purification were highlighted in numerous other expert presentations. The amendment of the TA Luft (German Clean Air Act), the associated current requirements for noise immissions, the preparation of explosion protection documents and the increase in energy efficiency through downstream heat recovery received a lot of attention, as did the use of new technologies for monitoring and optimising operating processes of plants, key point Industry 4.0.

For the first time, the workshop was complemented by a small exhibition where suppliers of Krantz GmbH presented their products. During the breaks, a vegetarian buffet provided an opportunity for networking.  All in all, it was a successful workshop despite difficult conditions.

Planning has already begun for the 8th workshop on thermal exhaust air purification, which will probably take place in May 2023. Further information on the subject of thermal exhaust air purification systems from Krantz can be found here.
